Winter Computer Camp at STEP IT Academy is a great opportunity for children grades 6-8+ to discover the fascinating world of Computer Technology.
We have prepared a great program to fill the holidays with fun and useful activities.
During the camp, kids will try out four different IT areas under the guidance of experienced instructors of STEP IT Academy. Children will study in comfortable, specially equipped classrooms using modern IT tools. Give your child the opportunity to dive into the marvelous world of Information Technology!
Your child will be able to plunge into the world of robotics, start designing and managing their own robots! To keep Christmas mood, kids will work on self-moving Santa’s sleigh.
Learn programming and animation basics while creating your own multi-level computer game that can became the first step to a future profession. Kids will be free to pick their game theme, but how about “Grinch vs Santa”?
Kids will create their own holiday’s decorations or presents. Something to hang on the Christmas tree or to present to a family and friends. Learn 3D modeling/scanning and print their result on the 3D-printer!
Kids will create their own Minecraft world and learn coding basics while programming their own Minecraft mods. Exploring the winter mode and changing the way snow works to boost holiday’s spirit.
Kids will plunge into the world of digital graphics, using professional graphics tablets and software will create a winter themed digital creation.
Learn computer hardware. Kids will tear apart desktops, laptops to learn what's inside and how it works and how to assemble it back and troubleshoot.
Students will use professional equipment to create and edit digital photos and videos. They'll explore open-source software as well as Adobe Creative Suite for video and audio editing, and perhaps even make snowflakes dance in their videos!
Kids will practice on developing their winter story and characters and animate them using graphic tablets and Adobe Creative Suite. Who knows, maybe a snowball fight or a playful snowman will find their way into their snowy tales!
Learn how to use Arduino to create a programmable Christmas tree lights and use sensors to bring it to the next level. You might even discover some inventive ways to make your tree shine brighter this holiday season!
Kids will discover the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence and get hands-on experience working with AI models. Who knows, they might even teach a snowman to think with AI!
